Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers about booking, pricing, safety and seasonal care. Don't see your question? Just ask.
Booking & scheduling
Why can't I self-schedule a gutter-only cleaning?
Gutter jobs vary a lot with roof height, pitch and tree cover, so we quote them by phone to get the time and price right. You can add gutter cleaning to an online window-cleaning booking, or call (508) 499-9193 for gutters on their own.
Why do storm windows and grid windows need a phone call?
Exterior storm panels and true divided-lite grids take much longer to clean than standard glass, so a quick conversation lets us estimate accurately before we reserve your time.
How far ahead should I book?
Spring and fall fill up fastest. Booking a few weeks ahead in April–May and October–November gives you the widest choice of dates.
Can I text instead of calling?
Yes — text (508) 715-6616 with your address and what you need, and we will reply with next steps.
Do I need to be home for the appointment?
Only if we are cleaning inside. Exterior work can be done while you are out; just leave gates unlocked and pets inside.
Pricing & payment
How is pricing calculated?
Price depends on the number and type of windows, the height of the home, how much buildup there is and which services you combine. You get a clear number before any work starts.
Are there fees for travel or estimates?
No. Estimates are free throughout our service area and there are no surprise add-ons.
Is there a discount for bundling services?
Bundling window cleaning, gutter cleaning and power washing into one visit is the most efficient way to book — ask about combining services when you request your estimate.
Safety & insurance
Is your crew insured?
Yes. Busy Bee is fully insured for residential and commercial work, and we can send a certificate of insurance to you or your property manager.
How do you work safely on tall homes?
Technicians are trained on ladder setup, and we use water-fed poles and aerial lifts when height or access calls for them.
Will you protect my floors and furniture?
For interior work we use drop cloths and shoe covers, and we move small items carefully before cleaning.
Seasonal care
What is the best time of year for window cleaning in Massachusetts?
Most homeowners choose spring, after winter road salt and pollen, and fall, before the dark months. Businesses usually prefer a monthly or quarterly schedule.
When should gutters be cleaned?
Late spring after seed and blossom drop, and late fall once the leaves are down. Homes under heavy tree cover often need a third visit.
Do you work in winter?
We schedule around the weather. Interior window cleaning, chandelier work and some exterior jobs continue through winter when conditions are safe.
