Merry Christmas from Busy Bee Window and Gutter Cleaning!

As the lights go up along Main Street and the first real cold settles over Northborough, we want to pause and say something simple: thank you. Every driveway we pulled into this year, every ladder we set against a gutter and every window we left sparkling happened because a neighbor trusted us with their home. That trust means a great deal to a local business, and we never take it lightly.

A Season Worth Celebrating

This year took our crew across Worcester, Middlesex, Norfolk and Suffolk County, from quiet cul-de-sacs to busy storefronts. We cleared mountains of oak leaves in November, chased pine needles out of downspouts and helped plenty of families get their windows ready for holiday guests. Along the way we were lucky to hear kind words and see so many friendly faces. Whether you booked a single visit or have us back every spring and fall, you are the reason the Busy Bee hive keeps humming.

One Small Winter Tip

Here is a gift that costs nothing: after each snowfall, take a quick look at where your downspouts empty out. Plows, shovels and snowblowers tend to bury those outlets under packed snow. When a mild afternoon arrives and the roof starts melting, that water has nowhere to go. It backs up inside the downspout, freezes overnight, and can split the metal or spill against your foundation.

Clearing a small channel around each outlet with a shovel lets meltwater flow away from the house the way it should. If you spot heavy icicles hanging from the gutter edge, or a thick ridge of ice forming along the roofline, that can be an early sign of an ice dam. Looking Ahead to Spring

Winter is a great time to plan. Once the snow is gone, gutters usually hold a layer of late-fall leaves, twigs and roof grit that should come out before the April showers arrive. Many of our customers like to reserve a spring gutter cleaning early so they are not scrambling when the busy season begins.
